"Incredible value, not just in scholarship money, but in connections and team building, skill building, proving to myself that I can be dedicated and valuable in things which I apply myself. Was a major turning point in my development."

"Being a part of Academic Decathlon has helped me find confidence in both academics and my interpersonal skills. Being a part of this team really felt like family, and I had the opportunity to learn and grow with my coaches and fellow decathletes. From learning the importance of beatboxing in speech to adding the "dude" to my toolbox in interview to learning how to learn the other subjects, Academic Decathlon and the opportunities it provided gave me the tools to feel prepared for and beyond college. And most importantly, the fun memories and magic we made in our team will live long as we start a new age in our lives!"

"Academic Decathlon taught me topics I encountered later, and how I study. Things I learned about both art history and discrete mathematics became relevant in later college courses, and I had a nostalgic familiarity with them. I also learned how helpful it was to record myself speaking what I studied and then listen to myself during underutilized time."
